Naseeruddin Shah Playing The Roll Of Saddam Hussain In Next
Director Nalin Singh wants Naseeruddin Shah to play Saddam Hussein in his next film titled The Trial of Saddam Hussein.

"My script is ready and I will soon be approaching him for the title role," said Singh. "The film will have a day-to-day account of the courtroom trials of Saddam including the killings of his lawyers etc.''

He adds, "Saddam is a very broad subject. I will also focus on his Indian connections too including that he supported India on Kashmir."

He said he's aware of Akbar Khan's movie on Saddam, but laughed saying, "I hope he is making Saddam speak in Hindi as I have already set a trend of making Hitler speak in Hindi."

Singh's film Hitler had got him and actor Anupam Kher into trouble. Kher's fans had protested against the actor playing the role of Hitler forcing him to opt out of the film. Raghuvir Yadav is now playing the lead role in My Friend Hitler.

Asin's on-screen tuning with Salman Khan in 'Ready' is pretty much on display if the song and dance promos are any indication. Also, it has been widely promoted that in the film, she and Salman have been projected as a Madhuri and Salman of 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' days. The speculations also became much stronger when it was revealed that Salman is called Prem in 'Ready'.

"You want me to be honest here then well let me state the truth," laughs Asin, "I really don't know from where did these Madhuri-Salman talks started. In fact while I was shooting for the film, I wasn't even thinking of Madhuri or making any conscious effort to recreate similar magic on those grounds. We just went ahead and followed the script."

From where does she think the rumours started then?

"I don't know," shrugs away Asin, "I am sure that I hadn't got any such brief. If at all such stories started making rounds, it was after the shooting was through. Perhaps some people saw a still or two from the film and started bringing on comparisons with Madhuri. I can assure though that all of this is plain speculation."

Well Asin, we would check it out for ourselves if this is a speculation or not once the film hits the screens on 3rd June.

The usually reticent actor took out time to dial the Balaji head honcho and put in a word for his film.

This must be quite an honour for Ekta, considering that Aamir is extremely choosy about the marketing techniques used for his films.A source reveals, "Ekta was pleasantly surprised when she got Aamir's call. She's a huge fan of his work and has always looked up to him.

They spoke at length and discussed films. Aamir was very keen on attaching Delhi Belly promo with Ragini MMS because he felt that both the films represent the new age cinema genre.

Even though the subject matter of the films is different, they both agreed that the films would bridge a common audience."

When contacted Ekta confirms, "Aamir is my idol. Yes, I have agreed to attach the Delhi Belly promo with Ragini MMS."

But she had no personnel grudge against the jaguar brand or their car model and was just doing it for promotion of her movie.

Luv ka the end was made on a shoe string budget and just opened up for 10% occupancy and so the movie is declared a super flop at the box office, which was made by Y films.

But in order to create some flutter in the media, actress shraddha Kapoor damaged the jaguar brand to a lolly. Sources say that jaguar brand of cars are internationally famed and so the actress may face legal crisis if the company decides to sue the actress and her film makers.

In a clash of titans, Amitabh Bachchan's home production " Bbuddah-Hoga Terra Baap" is set to release July 1 and Aamir Khan's " Delhi Belly" will hit the screens on the same day. The megastar is quite excited about it.

"Bbuddah..." is about an old man who feels young, and will see Amitabh, 68, riding a Harley Davidson, while "Delhi Belly" is about three friends living together in a bachelor pad in the capital.

More than being nervous about the clash, Amitabh is excited that "Bbuddah..." is releasing before his other film " Aarakshan".

"It now seems probable that 'Bbuddah' even though started its shot after the shoot for 'Aarakshan' was over, has finished before. And...now is set to be released before 'Aarakshan' too. 'Bbuddah' on July 1st," Amitabh posted on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com.

"Aarakshan", a film on caste-based reservations, directed by Prakash Jha, will hit the screens Aug 12 and Big B is looking forward to both releases.

"Two films after a long gap and two very different roles and films. The first a dramatic, fun, film. The latter more intense, topical, and edgy, very sincere and touching, on a topic and subject which many talk of behind closed doors but never outside," he wrote.

The veteran star says he is glad he is able to maintain variety at his age.

"As an actor I feel elated that there is diversity on offer. When you are nearing 70 it does become scarce ... the offers. But the challenge that comes by in the offering is immense. There is an opportunity of getting characters to play that may have been not too easy to play when you were younger. Or even if there was an opportunity, the commerce did not allow it."

She was angry with the rumor that is doing the rounds that she is trying to get back into Sanjay Dutt’s clan. She accuses the unit members for spearing such false rumor.

A source from the sets elaborates, "Kangna was in a very bad mood. She walked in on the sets and went straight to her vanity van.

Everyone figured she was upset, but they didn't think that she would actually hold up the shoot for the day. When an assistant director went to call her, she yelled at him and asked him to inform the unit she doesn't want to shoot."

It took over two hours to appease Kangna. "She thinks someone from the unit was talking ill of her. She's maintaining distance from Sanju and trying not to entertain any loose talk.

She is angry that in spite of that, people from the set were spreading gossip about her. So she locked herself in the van and refused to come out till an apology was issued."

Sanju baba was to report in the evening but delay in the shoot made him to shoot at night.

The model-actress who became famous in India and invited cleric's ire back home with her antics on the hit reality TV show 'Bigg Boss', is not pleased with the offer.

"He had the guts to approach me for a sequel to that song 'Saali Bitch'. He wanted me to 'debut' in his music video that he plans to come up with and is calling it Saali Bitch 2," said Malik.

"I'm someone who supports women's issue and causes, and this guy Ishq Bector just approached me to feature in his next video. He is destroying today's youth with such messages. For me it's a straight decline," added the 32-year-old. Bector has time and again raised the hackles of the Censor Board with his "lewd" lyrics and videos.

Malik herself is no stranger to controversy. She was branded branded "baigharat" (immoral) by Muslim clerics on national television in Pakistan for her behaviour on 'Bigg Boss' where she was seen getting cosy with both actor Ashmit Patel and model Hrishant Goswami.

But Malik's fiesty stance against the criticism earned her praise from the liberal sections of Pakistani media and society.

Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja''s wife Anupam has said that she has faith in Indian judiciary and believes that her husband will get justice in the alleged rape case.

The ''Woh Lamhe'' star, who was accused of raping his 18-year-old maid in June 2009, is currently on bail and has appealed against the verdict at a higher court.

Despite calling the three-year ordeal ''horrific'', Anupam said that their spirits have not been broken.

While speaking exclusively to tabloid! the economics graduate said she is determined to support her husband until the end.

"I feel as if I have landed in the woods and it''s a long walk to get out of there. I cannot afford to focus on how hard the walk is or if an animal is going to bite me or focus on how tired I am... At such a time, there''s only one thing to do and that''s to keep walking," the Gulf News quoted Anupam as saying.

When asked that what made her decide to support her husband and how was the ordeal, she said, "It was the right thing to do. It wasn''t a choice or a decision to be made. It was the most obvious decision to make.

"You don''t abandon a man who is innocent and you don''t abandon the truth either. It was horrific... this whole thing. But when you know this thing is absolutely false - you don''t walk away. You don''t walk away from people you love. You stand by them when they have been wronged.

"It was that which kept me going and it was that which kept the entire family going. We believe in our judiciary and have faith that we will get justice," she added.

Anupam also said that due to his celebrity status, the actor has been made a soft target and has been framed for some motif.

"Definitely, he was a soft target. With films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Gangster, he had fame but did not have the clout or a network in Bollywood. If anybody were to target him, he is a perfect target - completely soft.

"There was no network beneath that fame. And Shiney being Shiney - he is the kind of guy who has always believed that talent will speak for itself. He kept saying people will buy talent. It was something of a debate between us and I often said that it may make a huge difference if you go out there and meet people.

"The motive could be greed or the motive could be jealousy because of his rising fame. I am not at liberty to speculate now. The fact is that it is a frame up - 100 per cent. At this point, all I can tell you is that there were forces at work to bring him down. I can reveal more after the court case comes to a close," she added.

When asked what is the next move, she replied, "We will go ahead and continue with the legal aspects of fighting the case in the higher courts. In the meantime, it''s going to be a time for rehabilitation for our family. We want to start rebuilding our life and continue walking."
